Today’s pictures can be viewed here. Today’s prayer intentions: for Phille from the Camino, for the healing of his foot and for the continued Grace of God and blessings upon him and his family.

Today is our last day before the final day into Santiago. We have kept a list of all of the intentions along the way and today we come to the last one. Phille is a man we met early on in the Camino who was riding a bicycle across the Camino for a charity back in his home. I shared a little about him on September 29th on my Facebook page. He has since finished the Camino and is back home but today we walked and prayed for the healing of his foot and also the increase of Grace and Faith in his life.

Today we tried to take in the beauty of the Camino as much as possible. We know we are coming to the end. Our bodies are telling us it is time to go home! But there is something beautiful about simply walking and praying each day. Just simply being as God has made us to be.

We are certainly going to miss the many magical forests we have come upon in this journey.

We will miss the many unique places to stop and have a drink / snack including this one lined with beer bottles from pilgrims who have passed through this way. We will even miss the many farms we have passed and the many friendly dogs who greeted us along the way! (Although we will probably not miss the smells!!)

Tomorrow we make the final walk into Santiago de Compostela. On Wednesday we hope to get our official Compostela and attend morning Mass at the Cathedral. Tonight we spend one last night in an albergue, listening to the many sounds from other pilgrims in the nearby room. We say a little prayer for all of them who are making this last leg of the journey towards this destination. But we also pray that this is not the end. We pray that the Camino will continue in our hearts as we return to our various countries, to our homes and communities.
It has been a supreme pleasure to be able to pray for a different person each day throughout these 40 days of walking this pilgrimage. Tomorrow we walk for our own personal intention. Tonight as we lay down to go to bed we will say a prayer for all those for whom we have prayed along “the way” – knowing that God cares for each one of your needs with His incredible love.
Buen Camino ❤️🙏
